Zanussi DE6744 dishwasher does not start

Hi,
our Zanussi DE6744 dishwasher stopped working couple of days ago. When I press ON button the ON/OFF light comes on but pressing any buttons (select program etc) does not have any effect. Not even the selected prgram indicator light comes on.
I used the multimeter to check that the power comes to the control panel.
The fault occurred when starting a new programme. The previous one had finished fine and we unloaded and re-loaded the mashine and tried to start the new program.

Any idea what could be wrong here?
Could it be just a case of resetting the mashine? (How?)

It could be a number of things to be honest, worst case scenario is the control unit itself, it’s about £80 plus VAT for the part.

It may be worthwhile calling an engineer to confirm though.

Check the directories on the main menu for engineers in your area or pop your postcode up here.
