Zanussi DE6744 – our dishwasher won’t even start washing!!!

Hi, our dishwasher has just stopped working. When you press the on button and select which cycle you wish to use, the lights just start to flash. Generally the top two lights which are wash and drain. the wash light should flash three times and the machine should fill up, but nothing happens. Can you help????

According to the rather difficult to work out error codes for this model it’s an overfill or flood protection problem which probably means the base has water in it.

Try leaning the machine forward or backward and see if any water runs out (have towells at the ready ;))

If it then starts to work again that’s the problem but it may not have resolved the underlying cause which could be a leak internally, this would require an engineer to identify and correct.
