According to the service manual it is the error code for “Motor Stopped”

The fault is intermittent, when I called out the dishwasher was hot inside and had stopped with this fault code.

According to the manual there is a tacho on this motor – might be worth checking that there isn’t a loose connection to it and that the magnet isn’t loose.

The manual lists these as possible causes:-
    a. Motor winding interrupted / short-circuited
    b. Motor jammed (foreign bodies / pump unit)
    d. Electrical connections broken / loose
    e. Tachimetric sensor broken / short-circuited
    f. Motor not reached 2000rpm within 5 seconds

It is worth noting that the same motor is used for both wash and drain purposes – there is a relay on the circuit board which controls which direction the motor spins in (may be sticking or have dodgy contacts), see if it always stops at about the same point in the cycle as this could point to relay issues when trying to reverse motor (motor connects to circuit board on connections C1 [Drain], C5 [Wash] and C13 [Common])

    Some resistances to check for:-
    C1 and C13 = 70 ohms (Drain Coil)
    C5 and C13 = 50 ohms (Wash Coil)
    E1 and E2 = 135 ohms (Tacho)

There is also a service bulletin which is something to do with motor strengthening kit (part no 50228468000) – can’t say what it is supposed to cure as the bulletin is in Italian which I can’t read.

    Hope that helps some

    Jem
