    Hi,

I have recently moved house. My dishwasher was ok before it left, but when I reconnected it in the new house it did not fill with water. I was suprised because I thought it would sense there was no water and trigger an alarm? It seemed to be making the right noises: pump going etc but there was no noise of water filling or spraying and when I opened the door it was dry inside.

I tried the usual trick of switching off the mains and disconnecting the water. I tried this a few times without luck and then overnight it has started to work again.

Has something got shaken loose in transit? Should I worry now that it is working again?

    Thanks.

It probably was tipped on it’s side causing the residual water left inside to activate the anti-flood protection.

I wouldn’t worry if it’s working to be honest, just keep an eye on it the next few cycles 🙂

    Dave.

Thanks. I did read some posts here about tilting it back and forward. I didn’t hear any water sloshing about but perhaps that fixed it? Is that what you are supposed to do to reset a flood alarm?
