Hi guys wondered if any of you can help shed some light on my problem..
My De6965 will work for a few minutes the will trip out the main fuse for the house, it happens anywhere in the wash cycle… Initialy it was half way through a wash and tripped out, when the power was restored, as soon as you pressed the power button on the front the power was tripped again.
I have stipped down most of the machine looking for anything obvious, ie water leaking on any power points, bad connections, checked the front panel for any shorts but nothing.
I restored power again and it lasted a couple of minutes but once again tripped…
Unfortunately the only way to surely diagnose the fault would be with someone who had a 500V insulation tester. Check out repairs@ for an engineer in your area. Unplug form mains if you are having a look yourself :zap:
Cheers Simon, I have looked at Repairs@ and as I am in Chorley it comes up with Ace Appliances … do you know them ?
Also I am guessing that with the insulation tester this will test the earth bonding, if so is it easy then to track the fault down.. Oh and yes have no fear it is unplugged whenever I am working on it.
