ParticipantWe fitted a new IWMS into this appliance several weeks ago the machine would not fill. The IWMS sorted this problem out and the client has been using it as normal. However we get a call reporting sticking in cycle, having taken a look it became apparent that the machine would not fill again ?
We now have it in the workshop and the solenoid valve was measuring practically nothing. We have replaced the Numatic Solenoid valve and now when you operate the start switch the machine has no numeric display and fills, it then stops ! If you then open the door with it still switch on the numeric display lights up and goes off when you close the door again ?
Does this sound like a module failure or could power be getting diverted elsewhere?
Also the PCB is special order at over a £100, can the board be repaired ?

P.S.
If you put the old valve back on, its no fill but the door opening and closing does not affect the numeric display. 😀

I think I’d try replacing the valve first – 1520233-00/6 – lot cheaper than the PCB. Have had transformer on PCB breaking down – very strange things happen as it fails. EMW can supply a suitable t/x at a very reasonable price.

Penguin,
Have already replaced the valve as you suggested, still the same.
But thanks for your input.

Chris,
if transformer is broken than never comes programms lights and display “ON”.I think that there are two different problems:
1) wiring connections/isolation
2) damaged partsYou should try to get in service mode with old (broken) valve and check all componets inside runing test… because I didn’t found never such misterious faults…
I do not have wiring diagram or manual for this machine (don’t know either what type of PCB has there) in order to see if can help forward…
