Zanussi DF 45/30 SS Freezer working fridge not

The fridge compartment of my 7+yr old Zanussi DF 45/30 SS won’t chill anything anymore, the freezer compartment is working fine.

I defrosted it by unplugging and using a hairdryer to melt the built up ice in the freezer, once melted I cleaned both compartments out using warm soapy water, plugged it back in then gently slid it back into place. The fridge hasn’t worked properly since.

It makes a humming/buzzing noise then after about 5-10 mins makes a loud bang/knock type noise, does anyone have any ideas what this could be or would you advise I just get a new appliance?

Compressor is gone by the sounds of it I’m afraid, not cheap to fix and you would need a fridge engineer. Figure on the best part of £200 to repair.
