Hi all – first post…hope you can help!

Got a Zanussi ZDF221 with a problem. Only 3 months old (LOST RECEIPT!!! :rolls: )

When it’s switched on and a program is selected it makes all the right noises for about 10 seconds and then just stops. No flashing lights or strange sounds. Don’t know if this is the same problem as ‘not filling with water’ as it won’t go on any longer. Had the side (partly) off and have blown through a few tubes but still not working.

    Any ideas???

    Cheers

Guarantee – how did you pay for it? If you paid by credit card you effectively have a sales receipt with your statement, same if you have a credit agreement. Failing that, have a word with your retailer and ask for a duplicate receipt.

Problem – dishwashers generally pump out first, then fill. No fill on a machine this age is most likely caused by the fill hose collapsing either due to being trapped or kinked. Check routing. Can you hear a faint “humming” noise?

Possible for the inlet valve to fail but unlikely on a machine of this age.

    Cheers Penguin

Sadly…cash. I’ve spent about £2000 with them over the past 12 months and have every receipt…except this one. Might have a word and see if I can get any joy.

Doesn’t seem to be a humming and I’m sure pipe isn’t trapped. You can hear the usual ‘working’ sound for about 10 secs then everything just stops!
