zanussi drain pumps

anyone had any joy getting the filter out on these when the front detaches? wondered if anyone had developed a knack as there is nothing to pull on these. seem to be getting a run and changing the entire housing which is a fiddly job!

Which style pump are you referring to? The later ‘self cleaning’ type with the emergency drain pipe attached, or the earlier ones with the curved filter?

the straight ones, nothing to grip on the filter to pull it out, daft bleedin design.

If you already have a new one to replace it you can screw in a couple of self tappers and pull on them.
