zanussi drum sticking

hi i have a zanussi zwf1621w the drum keeps sticking and makeing a grating noise i think there maybe something stuck inbetween the drum and caseing or the bearings are jamming there is no play on the drum eg up down side to side how do i check the bearings? and is the drum unit sealed to? i want to see if anything is jamming the drum i have took the door seal of and the bottom hose and carnt see anything and it has been fine with no noise etc
any help would be grate

Your problem may be similar to THIS one.

If the bearings are going then it will have been getting steadily worse over a period of weeks or even months. If the noise has come on suddenly then you could well have sometihng stuck in the drum.

Very difficult to extract.

i have managed to locate and remove a broken zip but the problem i now have is how do i refit the door seal to the drum i have striped the front of the washer also removed the stone block but carnt strech the seal and wire thing onto the drum any tips please

weve debated thi in th trade a million times

pig of a job isnt it

put a little bit of washing up liquid on the lip and it should be easier

the spring? just has to stretch over the seal, some people wedge something between the weight and the seal to hold it in place while u stretch it
another pair of hands is handy, one to hold it in place whilst the other stretches it

takes me 15 minutes from walkin in the house to leaving……

Just think yourself lucky you have one of the few Zanussi machines that have a removable front panel. 😉
