Pnc: 916097657. Machine will not start, just flashes red.

Entered diagnostics and got 2 yellow and 3 red flashes which I read as E23 or,

Capacitive Level Sensor frequency out of range. ?
Sensor Disconnected (Wiring or Connector Failure)
    ? Level Sensor Failure
    ? Main Board Failure

I may be wrong but I am assuming that a ‘Capacitive Level Sensor’ is a stupid name for a float switch?

Had a look at the float switch which does appear to be a ‘sensor’ as opposed to a microswitch, however it is described as a microswitch float in the parts list??

Anyone had any instances of this fault?

    Jim.

looking at the pictures looks like a pcb in the top of it so cant be

Agreed, it’s a funny looking device, almost looks like a small reed switch in the top.

Have had a look at the wiring diagram which is not much help and cannot find exactly what the ‘frequency range’ of this capacitive sensor should be?

The plastic tube has an inner sleeve that must move up and down with the water level.

I have one on order and will report back. 🙂

weird thing on the diagram is there are 2 wires going to the unit but it looks like unit has 3 connections 5V , ground and output

so I assume the output frequency changes with level ( possibly)

Puzzled me as well, cannot be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain but I’m sure the plug had three wires in it.
