ParticipantHi guys.
Can`t seem to get enough water into this dishwasher.
The pressure switch clicks off but the water level is to low.
The safety valve appears ok and I can`t find a blockage in the pressure chambers in the sump.
Is it a faulty pressure switch or maybe a sump change.
I`ve had this before but cannot remember the cause 😳 .
Thanks.
Chris.

Water level should just touch the nut holding the salt pot in place, but not quite up to the refill nut. Anything less, and it will just scavenge. Pressure switches were very stable on these.
Before anyone decides to spend money, ensure the wiring loom under the door is pristine, and there are no signs of rinse aid leakage from the dispenser.
Good old D/washer, but the air pressure chambers were part of the sump itself. Sump change is the answer, not too bad a job to undertake, provided available. Secret was to put the new sump seal into a bowl of boiling water for a few minutes before fitting, allows easy installation. whatever you do, don’t put any soap on the seal.

chris,
if this is the one with the syphon tubes in the sump??. then you really have take these out. hot water and syringe out the chamber. but also do it from the two spouts on the sump, underneath the m/c. i’ve never had to change a sump for this. there was something about the different colours of the syphon tubes. over the years, but just cant recall.

And clear the ‘U’ shaped pipe that links the 2 chamber nozzles. The ‘new’ type syphons are blue, the early ones were black and used to go very brittle and porous for a pastime. DS30 won’t have black syphons. Also take the pressure switch / safety to valve pipes off their nozzles and clear them. Easily overlooked. 😉
