ParticipantWhen running Program ‘B’ the dishwasher stops in the middle of the second blue area wash and does not complete its wash program. If I move the program dial on one notch it completes the program. I feel it could stop due to one of several problems eg. sensor, programmer module etc. Is there a service manual available or at least a circuit diagram? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Does it stop as in “dead”, or does the timer stop advancing? If the latter, is it heating the water?

Thanks Penguin 45 for your reply. The dishwasher is my daughters (10 miles away) so quick examination is not readly done. However, it looks as if the water has been heated before the timer stops. During the last dishwash by advancing the timer knob one click the dish wash was completed. However, the wash was not as good as expected. Cups were not washed well enough such that there was dirty residue in the bottom of the cups, also, there appeared a dark residue on the top of the up-side-down cup. It seems as if the wash water pressure may not be strong enough or there is insuffient water available for the wash. We suspect there may be insufficient water in the machine to carry out a through wash. So that’s where I will be looking next. Is there a water level sensor in the system and where is it situated? I shall also be looking for any blockage in the water supply circuit. If you can help further and/or provide an input before my next investigation I shall be grateful.
Thanks

Sounds like it’s stopping at the heat position.
This is worth a read:

Your daughter’s is the “blue tubes” machine. You will need to spend a bit of time and observe what is actually happening. The timer will stop next click after the “clunk” when the dispenser opens, and start the heat sequence. You should notice heat within 5 minutes and steam within 10 if you pop the door.

Thanks Penguin45, have had another look and have unblocked the blue pipes (3 off) and the pipe on the underside that comes and goes from the salt dispencer. The machine was generally gunged up. However I need two parts before I can try again to see if the problem is fixed. The cylindrical filter (Part No. 019825?) inside the dishwasher at the bottom – as the fitted filter is torn in several places around the edges. And the hose (approx 14″ long – and goes on 10mm pipe spigots) underneith the sump at the salt dispencer (Part No. 454550?) which is too far gone to refit. I shall be grateful if you can confirm these part numbers before I order them.
Many thanks for your help so far.

Thanks Penguin45. Dishwasher now fixed and in new lease of life. In summery, the problem looks as if it was due to a fatty substance clogging up the blue tubes under the dome in the floor of the dishwasher and clogging up the horseshoe tube (See previous posting) underneath the dishwasher. Although the dishwasher is doing its stuff, I have recommended my daughter flushes it out with a cup-full of washing soda (or uses an off-the-shelf product) with an empty wash.
Thanks again
