    Hi Folks

Went to the above today and fished broken glass out of pump but impeller damaged and noisy when on wash ok.. on pump out..

Looks like an impeller kit available but looks like multiple parts in the kit and all the motor has to come out.

Question.. the impeller looks like it is held on by one screw so just wondered if poss to change without getting motor out also if motor has to come out how easy is it to get out? .. not had to get motor out on one of these before..

    Thanks folks.. advice appreciated..

Best answer is to pull the complete pump out…after you take off the lower rear cover, the pump is secured by a strap with two screws, it simply pulls out then. Just take your time over re-assembling the impellor kit onto the motor…it helps to note how the old one disassembles 😉

Takes two minutes to get the motor out.

Clear all water from the sump first.

Go to back of machine and take of lowr back panel (plastic bit)
You will find the motor bracket is held in by two screws retaining the motor.

When the bracket is off the motor will just pop out.

Be a bit carefull when putting it back as you can twist the ‘o’ring. A bit of fairy helps.

Hi from memory the kit has 3 different impellors count the number of blades and match with new one.

I also seem to remember if the sleeve on the motor shaft is knacked ,it’s a complete motor, might be wrong but something in the back of my mind says i might be right! 😕 😕

Been back today.. Stripped this and shaft that goes thru impellers and locks the whole asy together is cracked and not in kit..

Is this the shaft you guys on about and its a new motor job.. or is it just missing from kit? Seems crazy to me if a new motor required just for the sake of this part which I would have expected to be in the kit.. but that seems to be this job in a nutshell these days.. :rolls:

    Comments appreciated

That bit comes with a new motor 😥

….mind you, the reason why it splits is because the shaft has rusted underneath 😉

    Thanks Clive

Looks like a lost job then as I dont think she will pay for new motor.. but you never know..

The motor shaft wasn’t rusty but think the glass in the pump may have been the prob. Can’t belive they dont do thiis part as a spare tho..

Thanks for the help guys.. as motor easy to get out looks like strip down if I get this type of fault again.. presumably the wiring noise is the tell tail sound of the cracked shaft then?

I have used a pattern part from Connect (PMP9004) before now. It’s only about £30.00 trade.
