    Hi all,

As the subject says I have Zanussi EC5614. When I turn the grill on and it starts to heat up it trips our 30MA RCD. Initially I thought that it was probably the grill element degrading so I have replaced this and it still seems to be doing the same[1].

Looking at the cooker it appears that the only other things that it could possibly be are the switch itself or the thermal limiter. However, with my limited electrical knowledge I don’t see how either could cause this.

The rest of the cooker is functioning fine.

Where should I be looking next?

    Kind Regards,
    Nige.

[1] I’ve actually tried two different new grill elements, so unless I am incredibly unlucky I am pretty sure that it isn’t that.

In the catalogs for an insulation tester i’m afraid 😕

The only way to find the fault is to chase the circuits with a meter 😉
