    Hi,

I have a 6 year old built in electric fan assisted zanussi ZDF 290 oven.

Today the oven tripped the electric switch in the consumer unit and now the main fan oven doesn’t reach proper temperatures. It seems to get warm but not hot enough to cook most foods.

I’m not sure if this means the heater element needs replacing or the temperature sensor.

Can anyone offer advice before I go out and buy.

    Thanks

    Lee

You probably just need to change the element

    Thanks,

Bought a new element for £25 from a local town shop and all seems fine. I noticed on ebay and other similar sites I could have got it for £13 to £15 and this element fits 100’s of other ovens of other makes, yet the local shop didn’t just need the model number, he wanted the product number as he said there were about 11 types for that oven. Not sure how true this is but just thought I’d post it in case others with little knowledge like myself buy one online without supplying a product number

    Regards

    Lee
