Dryer element is down to earth. I did one of these a few weeks back in an AEG which was a doddle, back half of cabinet off, ten/fifteen minutes of a job.
This machine not only has a welded tub :rolls: it also has a wrap round cabinet.
Am I missing something or will I have to lift the large crosspiece out of the way to access the heater box. It looks like it will be a mare of a job. 😥

Thanks for that Martin, I do have an up to date copy of TDS, just didn’t have time to dig really deep into it earlier.
I will have a good read but TBH I think it will still be a pain of a job, still higher labour charge eh. 😉
I did have to fit a new fan assy to a similar machine last week and reading the manual does suggest that it is just about possible to move the heater box enough to get the element out without touching the crosspiece.
Its the new challenges like this that stop the job from ever getting boring. 8)

unless its a secret of course. It’s easier sending a pdf file that includes step by step pictures, everyone has email access so therefore it’s the far better, far easier option. 😀
