Have a problem with the drying cycle on this 4 year old machine. Now tkes 2 – 3 times as long to dry a normal load. It heats, drum rotates but it isn’t really drying. When the door opens load is very steamy and quite hot. After a few minutes into the drying cycle there is a sound as though a motor is running at high speed but with no load on it – this sound was not present when the dryer was working properly. Where do I go next??

Few things first you need to check the steam condensor at the back right corner what the fan sits on top of isnt blocked if its ok then you need to check the drying coil on the inlet valve isnt o/c and the noise is proberly the dryer fan assy worn .
