zanussi f/f american style ..

4 door model , top section fridge is working ok
bottom section frz dead,,
twin compresor no power going to frz comp …
check stats , defo timer they are ok ..

on further testing i found there was no neutral feed to defrost timer , which i think also feeds compressor..

does any one know anything about these f/f , and happen to know where the neutral feed that supplys defo timer comes from

think defrost timer is fed through thermal switches mounted on battery

sorry for sounding silly , but what/where is battery ??..
ive got a wiring chart for f/f and it looks as though neutral just comes straight into both compressors .. but there a couple of items on wiring chart where neutral comes from that may be the cause of break ..
wiring chart list the parts as a no ..ie 19 but i cant find any other doc that states what 19 is …very confusing

The type of evaporator in the freezer with the copper coils and aluminium fins is known as a battery evaporator.
19 is listed as on/off switch (2 pole)
Contacts 3-2 on defrost timer are closed during compressor /fan running, defrost timer should change over every 12 hours, contacts 3-4 bring on defrost heaters, thermal sw’ (27) switches off heaters at +10c, if this fails theres a safety thermal sw’ (26) operates at +40c. Defrost period should be approx 11mins.

this unit is built in and looks a bit of a nightmare to come out,
so i have been messing around checking things from the front and below..

ally..

on the wiring chart i have it looks as though neutral comes straight from the mains in direct to the 2 compressors , but i guess it go somewhere b4 feeding freezer comp..
