Replaced blown element in my ZDQ495 main oven. Have reset clock and fan works, oven internal light works, but not heating (control panel neon doesn’t light). Suggestions appreciated!

    Hi

Have you reset clock to manual and not to auto

Yes. Power off at mains removes all programming, but I tried a timer programme to see if this would get things going!

Have you checked the Thermal Cut-out on the side of the main oven lining?

??? There is a temperature probe, but I don’t see anything else obvious – any extra detail (and how do I check it?).

NB: Oven is fitted and I’ve not had to pull it out (yet).

Re: Zanussi Fan Oven – New Element, No Heat

Hello (and thanks for advice thus far…)

I’ve taken the oven out and exchanged (what I think are) the thermal cut-outs between top and main oven – they are identical parts. Still no joy.

Getting close to calling out an engineer, but would prefer to fix it myself (satisfaction and cost).

    Any further ideas?

You need a test meter, and to do some circuit testing – subbing parts can work out very expensive. Check that the thermostat makes and breaks would be my first port of call, also that you have continuity through the timer switched side when set to manual.

    Power off, please.
