    Re: Zanussi FJS1225 Time Travelling

I have now lent the customer another machine and brought hers to the workshop. I have at least found the leak. It only leaks during the fabric conditioner rinse and the water comes from round the small moulding in the soap drawer housing to which the inlet hoses are attached:

Could I seal this to the main mouldings using silicone or could this cause an airlock? On earlier Zanussis the ventilation for the soap drawer is clearly visible but I can’t tell with this one. Water did not drip onto the motor during the test wash but I suppose it might do sometimes, causing the programme to reset.

PS sorry about the huge photo but I don’t know how to shrink them. :con:

I found a small leak, which appears to be the tub joint but I don’t think water has been dripping on anything electrical as it is dripping off a rib on the side onto the plastic base. It looked as though the water might have been coming from a screw hole so I filled that with silicone.

These often leak from the tub joints. Run your hand down the joint. If there is white dust present, it will be leaking.
Sometimes tightening the bolts cures it but not always.

The leak turned out to be from the soap drawer housing as I explained. The machine is back with the customer and I’ve not heard anything so hopefully sealing the leak did the trick. 🙄
