ParticipantI’ve been called out to look at a Zanussi Fjs 1397W washer, it fills & does 1 revolution & then nothing, the relay on bottom board seems to be clicking o.k but no action, i did remove motor & clean armature & changed brushes (which weren’t completely worn), also i found that tacho magnet had been loose from shaft, even with this repaired still only one drum revolution & then mothing, tried another motor that i had in van & same story! When spin selected will pump out etc & turn drum & then, no more motor action, motor plug & loom look o.k.
Any help appreciated,
Ta

Seamy,
Only thought I can give is to look at the Manifold and Pressure Switch system for crud blockages. That can cause symptoms like this and also of course check out the heater 😉
Seems like your motor is OK from what you say, and if the timer PCB looks undamaged, you need to look elsewhere as I have hinted 😉
Best of luck!

Hi Seamy,
Had one of these before, it turned out to be a dry joint on the module.
Blob of solder and it sprang to life 😀Ray

ParticipantIIRC, one revolution and stop is usually no motor speed control detected. Can be tacho circuit failure, usually board fault.

had same symptoms on electrolux EW1200i. (same timer and module) turned out to be pressure switch hose rubbed thru causing anti-suds switch and three stage level switch to close in wrong sequence or not at all. check hoses have not rubbed against cabinet/tub and aren’t leaking air

Had one of these today with exactly the same fault. It was indeed the Relay terminal on the Module burnt away on the PCB (as Ray suggested earlier). Cleaned the terminal up, blob of solder and away it went 😀
