Zanussi fl1012

I have a problem with a zanussi fl1012 the macine works ok but it is extremely difficult to select the program i think the problem is possibly with the timer cam but I am not sure how to get access to it. Can anyone help?

Remove outer timer knob (force is best – pair of pliers) Undo the 7mm nut holding the inner knob in position. Remove knob and spring, then unclip indicator dial away from timer cam and pull free.

Lid off, remove philips screw holding timer in position, unhook bracket from fascia and turn towards you to access timer bracket and remove the 2 screws holding it in place. Ease bracket clear of timer enough to remove the cam.

Replace Cam (50654768006) Inner Knob (50099627007) and Outer Knob (50099625001)

Reassemble in reverse order……… 😀
