Called to this machine last week to check N.D.A fault. Found that the timer was making a loud clicking noise and assumed it was coming from the solenoid on the rear of the timer. Went back today to fit new timer, set to spin position and promptly blew the timer module. Motor checks out o.k. and original timer was’nt blown. Do’nt want to try another timer until I get some clue as to what is going on. Hope someone has some imformation on this, cheers.

EMW on (01159) 652118 and ask Tony. Loud clicking would suggest jammed internals or thermostop chatter; but not to blow a new unit. Did the heater check out OK? Or maybe just a duff new timer! :rolls:

    Hope that helps,

    Steve.

Loud click indicates gears failed inside timer. Blown tracks on these timers more often than not points to a shorting interlock. Send the timer to us and we will diagnose actual component causing failure and repair it for £34.90+vat. Tony EMW 0115 9652118
