Zanussi FL1084AL – 914780142 – The timer wont progress at the start of the program – for example from C or H. Seems to work fine towards the end of programs and is progressing normally.

On H the tub fills, water switches off at level (about 1/3 up window), it starts to adgatate washing but never moves to D.

Same happens on other programs

Checked and tested in operation on other parts of program.

Motor – OK
Heater – OK, water getting hot in other parts of programs
Door switch OK and light working
Water valve (only using cold) – OK
Pump – Checked and cleaned – OK

Not checked – 2 switches mounted on side of drum
The larger pressure switch is stopping the fill using the pipe from the sump, not sure if this is correct ? Also havnt tested and not sure what the smaller pressure switch does.

Any ideas please or info on untested items and how to check.

Its a good machine still so would like to save it from the scrapheap. Many thanks..it is appresiated

Possibly a blocked pressure system – follow the small hoses down from the round pressure switches to the top of the filter / pump housing. This is the “pressure chamber” and it is probably full of gunge. The unit will need to be removed from the machine to clean it thoroughly. One pressure switch controls the water level and the other is for heater protection. The water level on the main washes is rather high at 1/3 up the door glass: only the rinses should be this high. So I would suspect the pressure system as a first point to check.

Power off before any inspection starts. :plug:

Yep, that sorted it. The unit was clogged up. Upon cleaning the water level is only 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} up glass and it runs perfectly. Cheers
