Hi,
Just been to the above for a no spin fault. The motor doesn’t turn on wash either but will spin if you give it a whirl.
No capacitor but on the motor rating plate there are two 12.5 mfd markings.
Does this mean that the capacitor is enclosed in the motor and is one available separately?
TIA
Rob
No sure with the model no but if an induction motor fitted the capacitor is fixed under the metal strap on the top of the machine out of sight – think it is a 16uf if memory serves me right. You can fit a standard nut type fixing but you need a big washer as the origional capacitor is zanussi special fixing… or you can use gen zanussi capacitor.
Sorry to disagree but there is no capacitor under the top brace, under the timer or anywhere in the cabinet. I couldn’t believe it either but no sign.

FL812 is post-washcraft series (grey facia update of the old Z818 and Z918). 16uF capacitor was always under mains filter at top back right of cabinet. Clear plastic shield conceals it at first glance. Look for the 2 x 13mm head nuts one above the other on the back of the machine. 😉
