Hi,
Only looking for any comments as I expect we are going for a new machine. Our old Zanussi FL816 blew it’s 13A fuse today and smelled of burning. It would have been on spin at the end of a wash. I removed the machine and relocated to the garage. I could not localise the smell to anything, or see anything burnt. I replaced the fuse and set it to ‘Drain Only’, bit of a flash and it knocked out the leakage trip.
As it was on ‘Drain only’ I suspected the pump which is about as far as I would be prepared to go to fix this machine. I removed the pump and ran it on the bench with a 2A fuse, it ran OK. I re-connected the pump and tried the machine again. Fine, nothing blows or trips. Just seems odd that whatever it was may now be gone, albeit temporarily. Reluctant to put it back into use but just wondering if anyone has any comments.
Thanks,
