Zanussi FL881 belt.

Zanussi FL881 washer. PNC 914789090. Serial no: 62401166.

This machine uses the induction motor with the centrifugal collapsible motor pulley. The belt is a vee belt EL4 XL512. TDS shows 1240206001 as the correct belt.
The new belt is about 3 inches shorter than the original!! The numbers on the belt match exactly but it will not fit without forcing it on. The pulley cannot operate to increase the spin speed as it is far too tight and there is no adjustment on the motor at all.
I have checked and double checked; I just can’t seem to find the answer. The old belt works perfectly but is splitting so needs to be replaced soon.

bit of a long shot but have had wrong numbers printed on belts before

looked through workshop manual quickly not a lot of info on this system but works the same as the ariston autos used to with variator pulley. some of these belts seemed bigger when put on due to wear in the width but nowhere near 3 inches i would look at wrong belt

have you got a v belt supplier in your area we have one called fpt used to be called fenner belts

find local branch and take old belt to them see what they can do

There’s a depot in Poole that I pass each day….never even knew it was there!!

Connect list an pattern belt for this model as size 4L520, but sadly NLA (5031680192797)
