zanussi fle 1015w broken door handle

I have a zanussi fle1015w on which the door handle is broken. I cant open the door, it is shut with a full load inside. Is there another way to release the catch?

You should normally still have enough of the handle left to gently push the door latch over to release the door.

Please don’t be tempted to yank it or put your hand down inside as you’ll possibly damage the door and/or the door locking device.

Pull the plug 1st in all instances to remove the power :plug:
