I hope one of you experienced guys can give me some advice on my Zanussi FLE 1416W washer. Being an electronics engineer I’m particularly irritated my the machines behaviour :x. It all started with the simple task of cleaning the filter out, up on putting it back and switching the machine on, Nothing!, orange power light comes on, door lock lights very dimly and then the interlock repeatedly clicks and occasionally connects as the wash option buttons become active the door lock lights fully but the green start button flashes and the machine bleeps. In my frustration at this I repeatedly switched the dam thing on and off at the mains and randomly jabbed at the various buttons 😈 , At this point the machine decided to start up and will work normally until the mains supply is swiched off and then the same thing happens all over again. I must be missing something but is there a specific way to reset these machines, ie holding in the reset button while pressing that button or this button? , any help please as its making me go crazzzy and giving me a nervous tick 🙁 😕

💡 Should of said I have replaced the interlock (£25.00 bargain!), but made no difference, Doh!

    and there start your problems

unless your an expert at reading binary code, its damned hard to come to a conclusion

most experts, including zanussi themselves struggle with that model

i have a digital displayboard i plug in to tell me the fault

id call an expert to be honest, i wouldnt start guessin

😆 lmao!, So that’s the main pcu unit giving the front panel pcu the cold shoulder?, so what would be the best way of encouraging these little devils 😈 to get along with each other?, could it be one of the buttons on the panel sticking and making a faint contact?, properly not!

well, you could always try cleaning the blue link ribbon between the 2, or the connections on the board, but more often its the main board to be honest, especially if your door lock is cycling

please, power off if ur looking… safety first

Thought I would up date this ! Had the 2 pcbs out this morn and cleaned all the connections and blew off any dust from them, stuck it all back together :stir: and hay presto it seems to be working without any problems, Touch-wood :salute:, well for now anyway 😆
