ParticipantHi,
I haven`t been able to find any error codes for this machine which has a
neon light error display – I think. The lights are situated vertically on the
right of the control panel. Am I missing them somewhere? – the error
codes I mean 😕The lights that are on (from top) are 2, 3, & 5.
Basically the machine won`t start and when the door is open the solenoid
interlock switch just keeps clicking on the solenoid.I seem to remember this happening before on a job and replacing the
switch cured it.If someone could either point me in the right direction re error codes or
confirm the switch as the problem – or not, it would be much appreciated. Thanks

Down the right hand side you have eight programme phase lights. In the event of a fault the lights will change to show the error code for the fault. Without going into the diagnostic system the only error codes that will show up are ones that the customer can do something about. (fill, drain or door problem). If you go into the diagnostic they will show the complete error code.
To read the lights you need to split them into two groups of four, the four top ones give the first digit of the error code and the bottom four the second digit. If you take the top four and count the bottom one as 1, the second one up as 2, the third as 4 and the fourth as 8. You then add together the ones which are flashing. So if the bottom two are flashing then 1 + 2 gives 3 so the first digit of the fault code is 3. Or if the bottom one and the top one are flashing then 1 + 8 gives 9 so the first digit is 9. You then look at the bottom set of four which are numbered the same way i.e the bottom one is 1, the next one up is 2, the next one up is 4 and the top one is 8. Again you add the numbers corresponding to the flashing lights and this gives you the second digit of the fault code.
I hope this is making sense 😕 So if the third one up of the top four is flashing then that is 4 and the bottom one of the bottom four is flashing then it is 1 and this gives an error code of E41.
If the machine you are looking at is just stopping with the phase lights on steady and not flashing then it is not showing an error code. You will have to go into diagnostics to get it.June 16, 2008 at 7:58 pm #254461laurenceuk
