ParticipantHi,
Strange fault with this one! Machine has intermittent power supply to hot fill solenoid. Set machine to any wash cycle, starts to fill (approx 5-10 secs) then stops (no power to solenoid) . After approx 15 seconds solenoid kicks in again for a few more seconds then stops. This happens about 3-4 times until it stops altogether. There are no timer or pressure switch clicks as this is happening. Have checked solenoids ok. The common supply to both valves runs across the timer board down to the module. Thinking it might be an iffy triac on the module . No clues on the tds software. Has anyone come across this ?

Does the fill process work OK on the rinses I wonder?

It did at the first attempt but then no joy.

Mmmmmm?? :hmm:
Makes me think that it may be pressure switch problem in spite of you not noticing any clicking going on (i.e bad contact?)?
I guess the heater checks out OK and the water level system (manifold) is clear?

Thanks for the help Martin .Have checked all mentioned and ok. Have checked EMW and they state filling problems with this module. Do you know if the 546 546 and 546 547 modules are interchangable as I have the latter in my old stock.

I had this years ago with a hoover logic, what was happening was when coil warmed up it went open circuit and when cool would fill for a few seconds and on and on worth a try, let us know .Paul.

I’ve had that few times over the years as well and did fit a new solenoid to rule it out. In this case though the actual power supply to the valve is failing.

546546 and 546547 are different. These boards are full computer PCBs and I would suspect the board over the pressure switch. I don’t recall ever having to change a pressure switch on a modern Zanussi type machine; at least I never cleared a fault by doing so.
Get a board from EMW – lowest cost (and risk) solution. 😉HTH,
Steve.
