I’ve got a Zanussi FM5230 oven with a broken oven door hinge. I’ve located the following source for replacements:

    http://www.partmaster.co.uk/cgi-bin/product.pl?PID=322503&section=0

but looking at the existing door/hinge, it’s not entirely obvious how you go about detaching the old hinge from the door and reattaching a new one.

Is this a straightforward operation, do I need a special tool of some kind? (Or am I missing something obvious!)

    Any advice gratefully received.

    Thanks

Check here on how to remove the door first of all, it should be fairly straightforward after that 😉 :

Incidently, the hinges are £21.26 for the pair and you may also require the hinge supports at £5.30 each as these also wear (both inc VAT, ex carriage).

spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk if you need them 🙂

Thanks, I already know how to remove the door – it’s just not entirely obvious how one then removes the hinge.

When you say hinge support, does this fit in the door or in the oven? Looking in the slot in the oven door I can see where part of the hinge has broken. Would I need hinge supports in this case?

    Thanks
