Zanussi Freezer seal zx97/5 needs replacing

I have searched through the forum and can find no definitive answer as to how to change the door seal for the freezer on my zx97/5si.

I have in hand the seal which I bought from the Zanussi online spares dept – but I cannot figure out how to get the old one off.

I have since seen mentioned that I may need to replace the whole door, but Zanussi could not confirm this either!!

Does anyone know or do I have to pay £45 for a call out and then nothing gets fixed.

It’s quite likely you need a whole door I’m afraid 🙁

Most manufacturers in their wisdom show and sell the door seals on their parts detail but in practice they are quite often not a replaceable part :rolls:

Can you post the product code (PNC) please and we can check for you 🙂

PNC 928405223 – Definately needs the seal changed as it has split along the top…

BUMP

Well I’ve contacted Zanussi spares again and they say that they are not aware that the whole door would need to be changed – just change the seal. i am not willing to pay them £60 to come out and say no you can’t change the seal you need a door.

Please help before i send the seal back…
