KeymasterHi,
My fridge was turned off for a few weeks whilst I moved house. Now the freezer works fine but the fridge doesn’t cool. The back wall of the fridge is warm and has a lot of condensation on it. There are no sensors, plates or anything inside the fridge compartment that I can see to cool it so where does the cool air come from? and is it worth getting it fixed?
Thanks 😥July 18, 2005 at 9:20 am #141766Dave_Conway

OK, thanks.
Is the motor running continuously ? If it is it may be a system failure I’m afraid (gas shortage/compressor failure).
I also recieved the repairs@ job you filled in online 😀
I’ll get someone to call and discuss with you if you would like a call to verify the above ?
Dave.

Hi Dave,
Not sure about the motor running continuously, I’m at work so will have to check this evening, though I don’t think it does as I was surprised that it wasn’t doing its normal humming noise when the fridge compartment wasn’t cold!Yes I would like a call but perhaps it would be better if I confirmed that the motor wasn’t running all the time. What says you?
Thanks

Hi waggy / Dave,
Did you ever manage to resolve this – I have a similar problem with my Zanussi Freezone fridge. The motor sounds like it’s always on. I have recently turned the fridge off and will turn it on in about 10 minutes to see if this improves it. Will look up model number and post it here. Thanks in advance for your help.
Kind regards,
Kehan -
