Zanussi Freezone – freezer fine – fridge not cooling

Hi,
My fridge was turned off for a few weeks whilst I moved house. Now the freezer works fine but the fridge doesn’t cool. The back wall of the fridge is warm and has a lot of condensation on it. There are no sensors, plates or anything inside the fridge compartment that I can see to cool it so where does the cool air come from? and is it worth getting it fixed?

Is the motor running continuously ? If it is it may be a system failure I’m afraid (gas shortage/compressor failure).

I also recieved the repairs@ job you filled in online 😀

I’ll get someone to call and discuss with you if you would like a call to verify the above ?

Not sure about the motor running continuously, I’m at work so will have to check this evening, though I don’t think it does as I was surprised that it wasn’t doing its normal humming noise when the fridge compartment wasn’t cold!

Yes I would like a call but perhaps it would be better if I confirmed that the motor wasn’t running all the time. What says you?

Hi waggy / Dave,
Did you ever manage to resolve this – I have a similar problem with my Zanussi Freezone fridge. The motor sounds like it’s always on. I have recently turned the fridge off and will turn it on in about 10 minutes to see if this improves it. Will look up model number and post it here.
