Hi can you help me? We have a zanussi zfd50/17R fridge freezer. It’s worked well for over 10 years! However the fridge is getting really cold and sounds like it’s running all the time even though it’s on the lowest setting. The back panel of the fridge is also covered in ice which has never happened before. I think the freezer is also getting too cold (judging by the ice cream!). Is this likely to be the thermosat? If so is it possible and easy to get and replace the part? Can it be reset by turning it all off and letting it defrost? Or has it had it? Oh and it’s supposed to be frostfree (I forgot that and have been defrosting the freezer for the last 5 years!) If I turn the thermostat to zero then the fridge defrosts and turns off, but then it gets too warm.
