My washer stopped with a beeping, and I worked out it was error code E54, motor related. When I looked at the motor it was soaking wet as was a lot of other stuff under there. I dried it all out and the washer ran a spin OK (so I guess the fault code was current-leak related), but when I put a test wash on I noticed water pouring out the bottom

Taking the rather risky step of balancing it on an old microwave while my slender other half flexed muscles to avoid it squashing my head, I noticed that a steady stream of water was emanating from a hole in the drum to the side of one of 3 circular depressions near the bottom of the drum. I’ve attached some pictures

Is this hole supposed to be here (and a plug has dropped out) or has something like a nail, underwire etc been fired through the plastic by a spinning wash basket? Any repair ideas?

    Thanks guys

Nope. You’ve left something in your pockets and it’s come out normally on spin.

If it’s under warranty then the likelihood is that they won’t cover it and you’ll be charge for the call out and repair.

You could always try chemical metal or the such like from Halfords .
