Zanussi FS1555W washer. PNC. 91479119100. Serial no. 446…..

The PCB has blown tracks around the motor plug area on the board (J1 plug). The machine was beeping fault code E54 (which is a motor relay sticking).
I have checked the motor for earth faults and examined the wiring and plugs – all seem in good order.
I have exhausted all the things on the diagnostics on TDS – I can’t really understand why a sticking PCB relay would blow the tracks on the board. Given the cost of the PCB, I thought I would ask if anyone else had experienced this type of fault before. 😕

    Thanks,

    Steve.

It’ll be the armature……. Meggar time 🙁 . It’ll be too expensive for the two.

    Hi Chris!!

I have meggar’d the motor on each connection – checks out OK. 😕 Armature to body OK; brushes to body OK and connections to body all OK – but I must say I am not totally happy to plug on a PCB costing that much to watch a spectacular firework display. These “all – in – one” boards are absolute rubbish. 🙁

Had a similar one back last March, a pair of drawers caught in drum, motor seized at that point and blew the board (quoted motor and module – machine scrapped!)
