    Hi guys
We have a Zanussi FX 1465W washer, its about 18 month old, just recently after a wash the clothes are covered in a grey gunge ! it also collects around the door seal, which has also got badly stained. Have tried all sorts of cleaning products nothing seems to shift stain. Wife has tried various washing powders and liquids, and carried out several maintenance washes + cleaned out residue from powder drawer, still the grey gunge appears. Has anybody got any suggestions, regarding some sort of additive to flush it out, or some other remedy. Help wifes looking in catalogues for new washer !
    Regards
    Al

I had this problem a while ago, I was told it was overuse of fabric softener 😳 and to run the machine a couple of times on a hot wash with a dishwasher tablet in it. (and no clothes obviously 😆 ) sorry you can’t put the dishes in either 😆

Yep a couple of maintence washes should sort that gasper.

Get some Ariel powder or tablets, the green one, and run it through a program at at least 60C, prefferably at 90C with no clothes in it and it should clear it.

Maintenance washes only work with bleach containing detergents. 😉

If that’s not clearing it then please get us a photo of the offending gunk to start with and we’ll see what we can suss.

    Hi guys
Thanks for the tips, Put 2 dishwasher tablets in machine, ran machine on a empty hot wash cycle, touch wood seems to have done the trick, no sign of grey gunge around door seal, tried a full load of clothes came out like new. Cheers. 🙂
