ParticipantHi,
I’ve been to have a look at a Zanussi FX1465w, product code 91479270500 washer with an intermittant spinning problem.
1 time in about every 5 it would spin perfectly at top speed but the other times it just doesnt pick up at all. Spins at about 600 rpm.
The lady says it seems to be worse the more she puts into it but i didnt see this. Tried it though all the test sequences and it works fine, picks up to top speed no problem.
I’ve hecked all the usuall, broken wires, brushes, uneven load but all seem to be fine.I’m presuming its the PCB but hate having to configure them, so i was hoping somebody could come up with something else before i have to do the inevitable.
Thanks
Nick

Partially blocked pressure chamber/pressure switch intermittent maybe ?
I would check the tacho as well given the problems they cause but it wouldn’t normally give this fault.

Thanks Dave,
Forgot to mention that i have checked pressure pipes and switch, but didnt think it would even attempt to spin, just distribute, with that type of fault.
Thanks again

Grooster,
On this model the module is pre-configured anyway but I don’t think that is the trouble even if you wanted to replace it?
Problems like this always revert to the most likely wearing-out component and that being = the motor!
Megger the heater of course but look closely at that motor if all else checks out? I take it you are testing it with a full load of towels or similar as empty testing is a waste of time in a case like this. 😉

If it is a motor, heater or pressure switch problem then it should be flagging up an error code using the start & end lights, if youre getting no errors at all and nothing in the memory then i would look again at the load balancing as that would cause reduced speed spin or no spin at all depending on how unbalanced it is.
Those models have reams of error codes for almost evrything apart from out of balance.
