ParticipantAll the usual suspects have been checked, fuses, sockets and still getting no power to the unit.
Just been reading through the forum and have noticed that someone with a bosch machine is having the same problem.
Is it the same diagnosies or is there any easy solution to my problem?February 27, 2006 at 1:56 pm #166791Dave_Conway

It could be a number of things if it’s completely dead (no power/no lights) to be honest.
Door interlock is possible.
Power off if checking yourself, if you’re unsure it may be best to ask an engineer, the repairs@ link below should provide one 🙂

Thanks for the advice, the problem has now been traced to the door interlock. Will the Zanussi 4 tag model you have in your shop be the part we need?
many thanks

The one in the shop is for an earlier series of machines. You require p/no 1249675-12/3 – an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get things moving for you.

ParticipantWell the saga continues, we got the part and fitted it with no problems now the machine beeps and the ‘end’ light flashes 5 times (the instruction manual says 4 times is the door is not closed! – it doesnt go up to 5).
This is an improvement on what we had as there was no power getting through at all. The light showing the door is shut is not coming on at all but did when we shorted the circuit – other half is an electical engineer.
I think its time to pass it over to an expert unless anyone has any ideas?
Thanks

Just to give you an update, an engineer came and it seems the PCB had gone. We decided it wasnt worth repairing so went and got a Siemens, relatively expensive but well worth it esp with the 5 yr warrenty.
Thanks for the advice – now to fix the squeaking tumble dryer 🙄
