    when hob is switched on to use a ring, the top right hand one always comes on full power, and cannot be controlled. the other rings work ok.The area around electronic panel is always warm is this ok, seems to be hotter when cooking is this ok. The hob is a zanussi zkt641h.

    It’s probably the electronics unit playing up – it’s over £100 from memory, so a bit of pro help might help to avoid an expensive mistake.

    Power off if investigating.
