Zanussi integrated microwave door.

Zanussi integrated microwave Model:- ZBM26542XA. PNC 947608587

Appliance dead – found 8A fuse on the mains input PCB had blown. Replaced it; tested it several times – all worked fine. Now has gone dead again after customer opened and shut the door. (machine wasn’t running at the time) Looked at some tech online and it seems the door microswitches could be at fault.
First question – why and how do these fail? Can’t quite see how they can switch out of sync unless one switch is sticking or slow to respond…..
Second – can you use ordinary generic 3 tag microswitches or is it best to replace all three or is it best to fit a whole new frame and switches?
Third – I can’t find the part number for the switch frame just the individual microswitch; but Zanussi don’t state where they fit.
I don’t normally get involved with microwaves as these days they’re generally not worth fixing. This is the usual dreaded “friend of a friend” job that you somehow get roped into……. 😐

Thanks very much Colin – looks more and more like the door microswitches. Will try that first.
Of course if anyone else has experience of these microwaves, any info is appreciated.
