Zanussi IZ 16 error code E40

My zanussi iz16 washing machine is playing up. For the last 3 or 4 years, it would randomly error with code E40, now it will not work at all and displays E40. When I try and start the machine on any cycle, the door lock clicks 5 times, then displays the E40 code. The door lock light is not illuminated although the door is locked.

If the machine is turned off, the door unlocks after about 5 minutes.

I’ve found some sort of diagnostic mode by pressing Start/reset, then power on. In this mode, it displays code E41.

Am I right in thinking this points to a faulty door interlock switch?

The new switch arrived this morning, and is now installed.

Washer is now working correctly again.
