Slightly weird fault this (to me anyway :)).
Haven`t been out to it yet but customer describes display counting down erratically.Set on quick wash display indicates 58 mins. and counts down normally to 52 mins , then display goes blank (for a few seconds) and comes back on at 54 mins :?. It then continues to repeat this process. Similar thing happens on spin cycle and no error has been displayed.

Does this sound like poor connections on PCB , needing a clean and tightened up :?:.

    Any help much appreciated.

Certainly sounds like the usual ‘oxidised edge connections’ fault. These Delta type boards seem to regularly suffer with this problem.

Thanks Steve but this one turned out to be nothing more than the carbon brushes being very badly worn (but motor still turning) and causing the electronics to cut off due to excess arcing at the commutator as the motor built up speed.
Clean commutator , new brushes fitted and all is well :D.

Speak about being misled by what a customer tells you on the phone , well I’ve got to blame someone .
