Awkward one to call – there’s a 50/50 shot here. Either the water level control system is defective, or the computer system is.
Water level control is an air pressure sytem. There is a collecting bell at the bottom, a rubber air hose or two running up the side of the drum and a level switch at the top. If the air bell becomes choked, or the air hose chafes through, the system can and will over-fill. Odd things will happen…..
To find out, you will have to split the casing and follow the hoses. Power off of course.
