Hi,
our zanussi model no. is FJDR 1466 W, S/N 33800385.
OUR PROBLEM IS THAT AS SOON AS THE MACHINE IS SWITCHED ON IT STARTS TO FILL AND AT THE SAME TIME THE PUMP RUNS AND THE MACHINE EMPTIES. THERE IS NO ERROR CODE ON THE DISPLAY, ONLY THE THREE BLINKING DASHES.
THE MACHINE IS STUCK IN THIS MODE, PRESSING ANY OF THE PROGRAMME BUTTONS, THE DELAY OR SKIP/RESET BUTTONS HAS NO EFFECT, ALTHOUGH ON A COUPLE OF OCCASIONS IT DID DISPLAY THE FAULT CODE E51, BUT ONLY AFTER I HAD PRESSED THE FABRICS BUTTON.
MOST GRATEFUL FOR ANY HELP YOU COULD GIVE.Re: zanussi jetstream 1400
E51 points to a motor control error on the main control PCB, and given the other problems you describe this also points to that I’m afraid.
Other failures can though cause software erorrs, it’s best to call an engineer for this sort of fault to be honest before condemning the control unit.
