Zanussi Jetsystem 1600 (XC6) WJD1667W Display & E20

I have a Zanussi Jetsystem 1600 (XC6) WJD1667W which had an E20 error. The filter wasn’t clogged up that much and when cleaned completely didn’t solve the problem as the next tumble dry come up with E20 again. It had been drying fine up to this so not the condenser clogged up as I’ve had before.

I ran a wash cycle and it filled with water but when I cycled it through to spin it didn’t drain. I manually emptied it and then ran a drain cycle with the filter left out, upon which it splashed out a lot of water (luckily still had container under it). From then on none of the LED’s on the wash/dry cycle options were lit up. Only lights working were Power and when you hit reset it flashes ERR or —, I can’t remember which in the display. Other than that display is blank. Door LED works as well.

Any ideas – was it just the pump before and now its dead as PCB gone ??

Hi again,
I think I got the machine into diagnostic mode (with it cycling through all the LED’s) but don’t know how to interpret or make it check specific components.

Anyone able to help with doing that?

Interesting that all the LED’s are off including the display giving the impression its pretty much dead but will go into diagnostic mode.
