Zanussi loud on high spin

I have a Zanussi FLA1201W that has started to make a loud noise when spinning on its fast setting. It is fine on the slower spin speed and the drum can be turned freely by hand with no noise when empty. I thought that it could be something stuck between the inner and outer drum parts?

Any suggestions?

Indeed it could be something caught between the inner and outer drum (coins etc) and I would recommend you get someone local in to have a look for you. Try our Repairs@ for further assistance.

I would like to give it a go myself as I am very handy with taking things apart and unlike many, can usually put them back together again! 😀

Can you possibly recommend where/how to start looking? Failing that I will get someone out.

If it is a foreign body, it will be very hard to remove on a zanussi…

…unless it’s down the front of the inner drum.

Try looking down the tiny gap between the door seal and the inner drum.
