Zanussi Main oven no heat but some on boost setting

Model is ZUQ875. The main oven does not work on fan setting but it also has a boost setting which also use the fan. (From the manual:Boost is ideal for quick preheating of the oven before selecting an alternative cooking function. It can also be used for cooking chilled and frozen convenience).
The Boost setting works but doesn’t seem to get the oven to the higher temperatures.
Is there a problem with the element but why then does boost work. Are there 2 elements or maybe 2 parts to the element and 1 has failed.
Thanks if anyone can confirm the problem and point me to the parts – should i be able to change it myself if it is the element or what sort of charge should i expect to pay an engineer. It’s just outside the 2 year warranty.

I think (if memory serves me right) on boost the conventional oven elements come on to speed pre heat up.
So it’s possible it could be the main fan oven element.

I agree it is probably therefore the main fan element. I think the part is ELE4079 – AS 3116448006 / ELE4001.

Does anyone know if replacement can be made without taking the built under oven out? If it can’t be fixed from the front I will probably need an engineer (tewkesbury, Glos) any suggestions on cost i should expect to pay. I exepct there is a link to find engineer elsewhere on this site but any help appreciated.

Unfortunately I cant give you any advice on how to replace it but there is a link <—- (repairs@).

If you where to phone me I would quote £49 labour and about £25 for the part depending on which element was required (if it is the element).

Try and go with a genuine element they do cost a bit more but some (not all) pattern elements are very unreliable.
